AJ Milani is back in Italy after his spell at Juventus was cut short by a knee injury.
The Bianconeri coach was out of action for three months after the knee injury he sustained in a friendly against AC Milan on June 27.
Milani returned to action on the final day of the Serie A season, scoring a brace in the 2-1 win over Sassuolo.
“Milani will be back,” Nerazzuurri coach Andrea Bertolacci told the media.
“He has a lot of rehabilitation to do, and it will be important for us to continue to be consistent in training.”
Milani has scored four goals in 15 appearances this term.
“We will have to wait and see what the doctors say about Milani’s recovery,” Bertolaccos coach added.
“It will be an important test for us.
We need to make sure that Milani can perform his best when we play against Sassuol.
It is the most important game in our season and we need to be prepared for it.”
